Atlanta Softball/Baseball at Brashear September 26, 2018

The Atlanta Hornets were in town Wednesday to play a previously rained out softball-baseball double-header. Atlanta got on the scoreboard quickly with 3 runs in the top of the first. Brashear answered with a pair of runs on an Averi Acton homer in the bottom of the frame. It was all Atlanta after that as they added 4 runs in the 2nd, 8 in the 4th, and 5 in the 5th to claim a 20-2 win. In addition to Averi Acton's home run, Alexa Higgins had a single. Averi Acton got the start for Brashear with Atalie Hagan pitching in relief.

Atlanta also scored first in the baseball game, but Brashear answered to take a 3-1 lead after one inning. The Tigers added single runs in the 3rd and 6th, and 3 runs in the 5th to claim an 8-4 victory. Quin Allen and John Gerhold both homered for Brashear, Brandon Jochemsin, Aden Zentz, and Garrett Housman had 2 hits each, and Brhet Place also had a hit. Place got the start going 5 and 2/3 and striking out 7. Jochemsin closed out the game in relief, striking out 2,
